What is a stroke and why do strokes happen in young adults?
A stroke is a blockage of blood flow to the brain. Studies say there is a 25 percent of chance of having a stroke under 45. Strokes can happen anytime in your lifetime, even when you are a baby, a teen, or a young adult. They often call strokes a brain attack to mirror a heart attack. A clot can stop the blood flow to the brain. Without the blood reaching the part of the brain it damages that part of your brain where blood needs to be. This can be formed by high cholsterol to make a clot. Having high cholsterol is unhealthy and young adults do have high cholsterol. A stroke can still happen to a healthy young adult. The consequences are unpredictable, some can recover complety and other can not. A healthy life style prevents having a stroke, by keeping a healthy lifestyle you can stay away from drugs, alcohol, and tabacco. Knowing the signs and symptoms of a stroke is the first step to getting medical attention quickly. For each minute an untreated blood flow doesn't go to the brain a person loses 1.9 million neurons. This could mean the persons speech, movement, memory, and so much can be affected. Minors have higher risks to have a stroke. Although, certain risk factors such as genetics or family history cannot be controlled, others such as high blood pressure or diabetes can be unreconized according to the National Stroke Association. African Americans have higher risks then any other racilas groups within the american population. Hispanics are second from the highest risks of having a stroke. A lot of young adults may have one of these to cause a stroke.Descprition of overall re-designing
Strokes in young adults have gone up by the years. Strokes don't happen to just young adults, it can happen to anyone. That is why people no matter what age should know about strokes. They should know what exactly causes a stroke, the symptoms, and what to look for if someone is having a stroke. Some of the signs of a stroke include: face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulties, and etc. If you notice any of these signs make sure you call 911 immediately. There is also a 30 percent chance of having a stroke under 45. Some of the reasons why people have stroke is because the brain does not get enough oxygen or nutrients which causes brain cells to die. Also because their genetics/genes or possibly the patient smokes or has high blood pressure. The overall message of this is to have people more aware of who could have strokes, what to look for and how to help if someone is having a stroke.
