Diabetes - Insulin Production
Description: Diabetes is a metabolic disease in which the body’s inability to produce any or enough insulin causes elevated levels of glucose in the blood. Insulin helps glucose get into the cell. Insulin is a hormone produced in the pancreas by the islets of Langerhans that regulates the amount of glucose in the blood. The lack of insulin causes a form of diabetes. This topic is important to science because this is a major problem with many people. This is also important to the human culture because since this is a huge problem with many people. Most of the time it has to do with genetics. Finally, this is important to the economy because the more people that get this the more money the economy gets.
Benefits:
Some of the benefits of this are that you get to eat healthier, exercise helps your body use insulin, which controls your blood sugar, lowers blood pressure, cuts LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, raises HDL (“good”) cholesterol, improves blood circulation ,and makes heart disease and stroke less likely, and the main advantages of pump therapy are: Tighter blood glucose control, while reducing the risk of low blood glucose. Reducing episodes of severe hypoglycemia.Reducing wide fluctuations in blood glucose.
Risks:
Now some of the most common side effects of insulin is low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can be serious, some people may also experience symptoms such as sweating, shaking, gas heartbeat, and blurred vision, and there is also a risk of skin infections at the catheter site.

Reflection:
I think we should redesign this stage of life. The reason I say this is because so many people are getting this now a days and to help prevent this would be good. I believe that this is moral because it is used to cure people, of course everybodys views are different, but that is what I feel. This can affects my present stage of life because then people won't have to worry as much. I think people should consider this if they know they have a higher chance of getting this.
