Designer Babies are A designer baby a baby whose genetic makeup has been selected in order to eradicate a particular defect, or to ensure that a particular gene is present. Some few cultures may believe designer babies are socially acceptable while others are not. There are benefits to designer babies such as, Allows for the gender of the baby to be determined. If a certain genetic disease is only passed down to males in the family, the parents may want to avoid having a male child in order to prevent this disease from continuing in the family. You can choose dominant character traits. But with all these benefits there are some risks like
First, the genetic engineering itself may not work correctly. Choosing a certain type of gene, say for hair color, may turn off a different gene.It could possibly cause a genetic mutation or misplacement.
